 Sinclair Installations Ltd, Installs and Services high-quality industrial ‘Automated Storage Warehouse’ systems around the UK.

The Mechanical/ Fitters Mate will be working with a senior engineer to meet the daily service maintenance, installation, and repair needs of the customers equipment around the UK and Europe. You will assist your team in maintaining proper business relationships with customers and peers. This role will have opportunities to train and progress toward building a career in this industry.

A VALID DRIVERS LICENCE IS REQUIRED – THIS POSITION INVOLVES TRAVEL AND MULTIPLE NIGHTS AWAY

The Mechanical/ Fitters Mate performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change.

• Using powered platforms (training can be given)
• To follow the lead of the senior engineer to install, service and repair machinery.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently as per business needs.
• Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
• Maintaining tools and test equipment and ensuring they are properly calibrated.
• Maintaining relationship with peers

Qualifications & Requirements

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record is required.
• Proficient in using an array of tools related to electrical and mechanical means.
• Engineering and or Electrical qualification/background beneficial but not required.
• Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (some basic ability to use a mobile tablet)
• Working as a member of the team to provide efficient service delivery to all accounts across the UK.
• Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task activities with shifting priorities. Able to work productively in a pressurized environment.
• Strong time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Ethical and trustworthy.

Working Conditions

• Regular travel with overnight stays
• Training provided for servicing, installing, and servicing a mixed type of storage machinery.
• Training on in house Job system
